An Unmarried Woman (1978) ***
Realistic portrayal of an upper middle class white woman with a fantastic Upper East Side Manhattan apartment coping with divorce. Nice time capsule of 70's NYC, intelligently written and played with a tour de force performance by Ms. Clayburgh.

Dear Buck,
I would have a much easier time coping too if I had a luxurious apartment paid for by the ex. Instead,my experience is, they just want to take revenge and get all they can from you in every way....this comes from all walks. "I wish I would have married you so that I could of sued you for alimony!"--I will never forget those words. So for me, that was pretty fairy tale as I think most women, with a few exceptions, would agree.
Love,
Natasha
